KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Engineer, UX/UI to join our Ignition Tax Product Group. This is a hybrid work opportunity.
Responsibilities:
  • Champion user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design across assigned projects, ensuring intuitive, seamless end-to-end user journeys
  • Advocate for UX/UI vision by effectively communicating design intent, rationale, and standards to cross-functional project teams and stakeholders
  • Lead stakeholder and user interviews to uncover business needs and user requirements, facilitating whiteboarding and collaborative ideation sessions
  • Translate user insights into personas, journey maps, information architecture, user flows, task analyses, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes
  • Conduct and manage design reviews, feedback sessions, and user testing to validate solutions and ensure alignment with user needs and expectations
  • Apply Tax Design System standards consistently and collaborate closely with UI developers to ensure accurate, accessible, and high-quality implementation, while continuously exploring opportunities to integrate AI into the UX/UI workflow
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications:
  • Minimum three years of recent experience designing intuitive, engaging websites or applications with a strong focus on usability and user-centered design principles
  • Bachelor's degree in from an accredited college/university Design, HCI, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; High School diploma or GED required
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate design concepts, direction, and rationale to diverse stakeholders through strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards and best practices, with proven experience designing inclusive and compliant user experiences
  • High proficiency with industry-standard design and collaboration tools, including Figma, FigJam, Mural, Miro, and Office 365
  • Solid conceptual understanding of backend technologies and development practices, enabling effective collaboration between design and engineering teams
  • Required to maintain an online portfolio showcasing representative UX/UI work that demonstrates design expertise, problem-solving approach, and creative execution
