What You'll Do
Design Lab Operations
  • Set up and maintain the physical design lab space with necessary equipment and technology.
  • Schedule testing sessions and coordinate with internal teams and external participants.
  • Manage participant recruitment, screening, and compensation.
  • Ensure lab equipment (cameras, recording software, observation room) functions properly.
  • Maintain organized archives of test recordings and research materials.

Conduct User Research
  • Run moderated and unmoderated usability tests with prototypes and live products (both in-lab and remote).
  • Conduct user interviews to understand behaviors, workflows, and pain points.
  • Facilitate card sorting, tree testing, and other evaluative research methods.
  • Observe and document how users interact with designs in real-time.
  • Take detailed notes and compile video highlights from testing sessions.

Reporting & Collaboration
  • Create clear, concise reports summarizing usability findings and recommendations.
  • Present research findings to UX designers, product managers, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with designers to refine test plans and research protocols.
  • Work with the UX team to prioritize which designs need testing.
  • Maintain a research repository documenting past studies and findings.

What You'll Bring
  • 2+ years of conducting UX research in-house.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/and or experience in UX research or similar will be considered.

  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
