About the Role

Oakes Auto Group  is looking for an experienced Used Car Manager to lead every aspect of our pre-owned vehicle operation. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for inventory strategy, pricing, appraisals, purchasing decisions, reconditioning, and overall inventory performance. Success in this position requires someone who can analyze market trends, make confident decisions, and lead with accountability while driving profitability.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee all aspects of the used vehicle inventory, including purchasing, pricing, merchandising, appraisals, reconditioning, and inventory management.

  • Develop pricing strategies using current market data while maintaining competitive inventory and maximizing profitability.

  • Manage inventory aging, vehicle turn rates, wholesale decisions, and the reconditioning process through Rapid Recon to ensure inventory is retail-ready.

  • Partner with dealership leadership to execute the used vehicle strategy while providing direction to lot personnel and supporting overall sales operations.

  • Monitor key performance metrics including gross profit, retail unit sales, inventory turn, aging performance, and process compliance while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
