This position requires 2 hours of custodial work on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday , 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. The role is ideal for individuals seeking consistent part-time work. Position Summary The Custodian is responsible for providing janitorial services at a USDA APHIS facility located at Lihue Airport. This role supports the cleanliness, sanitation, and safe operation of a 1,600 sq. ft. federal facility. Services must be performed with minimal disruption to government operations and in full compliance with federal security and environmental requirements. Essential Duties Clean administrative offices, conference rooms, break room, and inspection stations Empty trash and replace liners Vacuum carpeted areas, including under desks Sweep, dust mop, and wet mop floors Clean and disinfect sinks, counters, tables, chairs, and high-touch surfaces Clean stainless-steel countertops and dust fans in inspection areas Maintain separate cleaning tools for restroom and non-restroom areas Use approved biobased cleaning products Safeguard government property and access credentials Follow all USDA, airport, and facility security procedures Communication & Scheduling Communicate with supervisors and the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) Use Microsoft Teams , computers, and mobile phones for scheduling and work updates Provide advance notice of schedule changes when required Required Qualifications Ability to pass a USDA APHIS Background investigation Authorized to work in the United States Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred Basic computer skills; ability to use Microsoft Teams and mobile devices Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions Strong attention to detail and reliability Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 20 pounds Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks Work Environment Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Schedule:
