Sports Information Director plays a vital role in the success and visibility of USCB Athletics by coordinating exceptional home athletic events while leading digital media initiatives that promote our teams, coaches, and student-athletes.

Your creativity, organizational skills, and passion for collegiate athletics will directly strengthen recruiting efforts, enhance community engagement, and increase the visibility of USCB Athletics.

What you'll do Coordinate all aspects of home athletic event operations, ensuring a first-class game day experience for student-athletes, coaches, officials, and fans. Oversee facility setup, equipment preparation, game day logistics, and event signage. Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise game day staff supporting ticketing, concessions, event operations, and customer service. Serve as the primary on-site liaison for game officials, visiting teams, event personnel, and campus partners to ensure seamless event execution. Assist with game management while ensuring compliance with NCAA Division II, conference, and university policies and procedures. Develop and implement innovative digital media strategies that increase fan engagement, brand awareness, and community support. Produce compelling graphics, photography, videos, and multimedia content highlighting athletic competitions, student-athlete achievements, and departmental initiatives. Capture and share real-time game day content across social media platforms. Assist with athletic communications, statistical reporting, and sports information initiatives. Collaborate with coaches and athletic department staff to promote recruiting, special events, and community outreach activities.

Successful candidates will demonstrate knowledge of collegiate sports operations and NCAA Division II rules and regulations. Understanding of athletic event management and game day operations. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Experience using social media platforms to engage audiences and promote athletic programs. Proficiency with video editing, photography, graphic design, and multimedia content creation. Strong computer skills and familiarity with digital communication technologies. The ability to establish positive working relationships with coaches, student-athletes, officials, colleagues, campus partners, and community members. Creativity, initiative, flexibility, and a passion for telling the stories of student-athlete success.

Game days are different here No two days are ever the same. One day you'll be coordinating a home basketball game, ensuring every detail is ready before tipoff. The next, you'll be creating highlight videos, capturing championship moments, producing engaging social media campaigns, or celebrating the academic and athletic achievements of Sand Shark student-athletes. This role includes evening, weekend, and holiday work during athletic seasons and requires flexibility to support competitions, tournaments, and special athletic events throughout the year.
