Cole Engineering Services (CESI), a By Light company, is recognized as a premier provider of modeling and simulation (M&S) training solutions to the Federal Government and industry. Since 2004, CESI has been at the forefront of developing, maintaining, and integrating simulation-based training, serious gaming, technical services, training and other support in live, virtual, constructive, and gaming (LVCG) domains. ย CESI also designs, builds and runs infrastructure, platforms, applications and processes that enable cyber training for the integrated multi-domain force. Our vision is to become a worldwide full spectrum LVCG and cyber training/analysis developer, integrator and services provider.


We are looking for a skilled graphic artist who can work with the engineering teams and Government customers to transform raw information into polished videos, graphics, marketing materials, briefing documents, etc. The ability to thrive within high pressure situations and drive relevant teams to take the right actions are a must.

Position is full-time on-site in Annapolis Junction, MD.


  • Designs and develops complex graphics and illustrations for use in briefings, technical materials, manuals, and publications.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains marketing collateral.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains videos and photographs using original and existing content.

  • Associate's degree in a related field (Art, Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, etc.) from an accredited college or university. Three years of relevant experience can be substituted for an Associateโ€™s degree.ย 
  • 8+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably for DoD/DoW customers.
  • Expertise in using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Expertise in using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience in designing, creating, and maintaining, original videos and photographs.
  • Excellent writing, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

  • Experience working with military customers in a military environment.
  • Consulting, project management, and organizational/planning skills.
  • IAT Level II or Level III certification.
  • Experience with the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) training environment.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status and a TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to pass a CI polygraph if requested by the customer. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.ย 

Occasional travel may be required up to 10% of the time.


Salary Minimum: $100,000, Salary Maximum: $130,000

The annual base salary provided is a guideline for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. When extending an offer, CESI also considers other variables such as (but not limited to) work experience, education, training, skill set, internal peer equity, clearance level, and market conditions.
