We are looking for an active and well-organized engineer who enjoys working independently as well as collaborating with internal and external partners.# **We are seeking a Usability Engineer (m/f /d) to join our team.****How youโ€™ll make an impact*** Lead and make strategic decisions on usability engineering and user experience activities for large-scale projects/initiatives, including timeline, resources, and budget planning in collaboration with scrum masters and product owners* Plan and execute usability and design validation studies by adhering to IEC standards and FDA guidance, utilizing various analytical methods such as contextual inquiries, usability tests, focus groups, surveys, etc. Translate research insights into actionable design recommendations.* Evaluate study results to identify user needs and ensure the fulfilment of user requirements throughout the design process.* Contribute to innovative concepts for future products and systems based on a deep understanding of user behaviors, needs, and pain points.* Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas and validate concepts with stakeholders and end users.* Design visually appealing, consistent, and on-brand user interfaces aligned with user expectations and industry standards* Collaborate with Marketing in , co-developing product and experience design with the brand, but also site maps, user flows, and navigation structures to translate user insights into comprehensive user personas but also into intuitive and efficient user journeys**What you bring along*** 3-5 yearsโ€™ experience in usability engineering for medical devices with relevant academic background* Proven experience with UI and UX design, with a portfolio showcasing successful projects and impact on user experiences* Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams* Reliable and High degree of autonomy and personal responsibility* Logical thinking and understanding of technical contexts**Your opportunity**At Medela, you will be joining a global community of colleagues, united by the purpose that drives our business: helping people.
