Job description

What are we building?
Hard Rock Digital is a team focused on becoming the best online sportsbook, casino, and social gaming company in the world. We're building a team that resonates passion for learning, operating, and building new products and technologies for millions of consumers. We care about each customer interaction, experience, behavior, and insight and strive to ensure we're always acting authentically.
Rooted in the kindred spirits of Hard Rock and the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Hard Rock Digital taps a brand known the world over as the leader in gaming, entertainment, and hospitality. We're taking that foundation of success and bringing it to the digital space - ready to join us?
What's the position?
We're looking for a senior trading leader to join as Senior Director, Trading - a newly created role reporting to the VP, Sportsbook Revenue and based out of our South Florida office, providing a single point of accountability across our trading operation as the business grows in scale and geographic reach.
The role spans pricing and risk management, player profiling and optimization, and the in-house modelling capability that underpins our long-term product ambition. The Senior Director is responsible for the performance, direction, and cohesion across all of these areas.
The role also carries oversight of Hard Rock Digital's international trading activity, where we operate through a third-party partner. This is not a hands-on trading role in those markets, but it requires someone who can engage with the numbers at that level of depth and hold partners accountable against commercial expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across the trading operation - covering pricing and risk, player management, and origination - setting clear direction and holding teams accountable for delivery.
  • Own the trading contribution to sportsbook P&L - handle, GGR, and margin across the full portfolio. Monitor performance at sport and market level, identify underperformance early, and drive corrective action.
  • Ensure pricing strategy is competitive and commercially sound across all markets, with particular focus on the sports and segments that represent the greatest opportunity.
  • Work with Marketing to assess the viability and profitability of acquisition and CRM offers - ensuring promotional mechanics are commercially sound before they go to market and that trading has visibility of offer structures that carry meaningful liability.
  • Provide commercial oversight of all Hard Rock Digital's sportsbook trading activity where supported through third-parties.
  • Work with the Commercial Analytics & Supplier Performance Manager to ensure trading intelligence - feed quality, error rates, market coverage gaps - informs supplier decisions and contract negotiations.
  • Drive the evolution of the trading model - including the transition to a sport-lead structure and the build-out of in-house origination capability.
  • Ensure the different areas of the trading operation work cohesively, with clear handoffs and no gaps in accountability.
  • Lead, develop, and retain strong teams across the trading operation. Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the trading function credibly at executive and board level.

What are we looking for?
  • Significant senior leadership experience in sportsbook trading - you have run a trading function or substantial part of one, and you understand what good looks like at every level.
  • Commercial credibility - you are fluent in P&L, comfortable in commercial conversations with partners and suppliers, and able to engage at board level.
  • Experience managing across multiple disciplines or functions simultaneously.
  • Strong people leadership - you build strong teams, develop directors, and create accountability without micromanagement.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and pace - the business is growing fast and the role will evolve.
  • Experience with third-party or managed service operator models, particularly in international markets.
  • Exposure to in-house pricing or modelling, either directly or in a commercial oversight capacity.
  • Exposure to international sportsbook markets, particularly where operations are run through third-party partners, is a plus.
  • Experience leading through significant organisational change.

What's in it for you?
We offer our employees more than just competitive compensation. Our team benefits include:
  • Competitive pay and benefits
  • Flexible vacation allowance
  • Flexible work from home or office hours
  • Startup culture backed by a secure, global brand
  • Opportunity to help shape the future strategy of the Sportsbook

Roster of Uniques
We care deeply about every interaction our customers have with us, and trust and empower our staff to own and drive their experience. Our vision for our business and customers is built on fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where regardless of background or beliefs you feel able to be authentic and bring all your talent into play. We want to celebrate you being you (we are an equal opportunity employer).
