Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE:
Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

This unit will accept alternate level of care (ALC) patients from hospitals within the URMC system. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with the team at St. Johns to open and build a sustainable model to care for the patients admitted to this unit. The candidates must demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, flexibility, communication, a collaborative spirit, and a willingness to be part of a trailblazing team. Experience in Long term care preferred but not required, all eligible applicants considered.
