Job description

The Slot Performance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and performance of all slot machines and gaming-related equipment while ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, and state gaming regulations. This role provides direct leadership to the Slot Technician team, supports departmental training and development, and ensures the integrity, security, and operational efficiency of the casino's slot floor. The successful candidate must possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills.

 
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or electronics training preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of slot operations, gaming technology, or related technical experience; prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of slot machine maintenance, gaming systems, and casino operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team development skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair gaming equipment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Louisiana Gaming License.
  • Move throughout all areas of the casino property.
  • Stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and work within the confined spaces of slot machine cabinets for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and safely move gaming machines weighing 100-500 pounds with appropriate equipment.
  • Work with small components in both well-lit and low-light environments.
  • Demonstrate the coordination and dexterity required to safely use power tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Work effectively in areas with elevated noise levels and exposure to secondhand smoke.
  • Maintain composure and productivity in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Respond effectively to visual and auditory cues.
     
  • Supervise, train, coach, schedule, and evaluate Slot Technicians and Senior Slot Technicians.
  • Enforce company policies, departmental procedures, internal controls, and gaming regulations.
  • Oversee the repair, maintenance, testing, installation, relocation, and conversion of slot machines and gaming equipment.
  • Monitor machine performance, system communications, and preventative maintenance programs to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Maintain control of sensitive keys and ensure compliance with established security procedures.
  • Assist with audits, regulatory inspections, jackpot verifications, machine testing, and inventory control activities.
  • Report suspected gaming violations, unauthorized access, or cheating attempts to management and surveillance.
  • Support the implementation of departmental programs, operational initiatives, and training efforts.
  • Verify machine functionality before returning equipment to guest use and respond promptly to service calls.
  • Promote a positive guest experience while safeguarding company assets and employee safety.
  • Recommend personnel actions, including hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Louisiana gaming regulations and company standards.
