This role serves as a key resource for workforce management processes, helping teams optimize scheduling, staffing, and labor planning to support operational goals and customer service. The Business Systems Analyst works closely with Operations, Finance, and field teams to ensure workforce tools and processes are easy to use, accurate, and aligned with business needs.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. This position offers an opportunity to develop expertise in workforce management while supporting other operational systems such as Point of Sale (POS) and SAP. Through reporting, problem-solving, and collaboration, this role helps improve workforce planning and operational performance across both B2B and B2C environments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the Workforce Management (Blue Yonder) system, including labor planning, forecasting, and scheduling activities across Retail and Dining
  • Assist in monitoring labor performance, staffing levels, and scheduling practices to help support operational and financial goals
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for workforce management questions and provide support to system users
  • Help maintain workforce management system settings, labor rules, and scheduling configurations to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, and field leaders to understand workforce needs and support staffing and scheduling decisions
  • Create and maintain reports related to labor performance, scheduling, forecast accuracy, and workforce trends
  • Analyze workforce data and identify opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency, staffing coverage, and employee productivity
  • Participate in workforce management system enhancements, testing, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives
  • Support change management activities by helping communicate system updates, training materials, and best practices to users
  • Ensure workforce management processes and system usage align with company policies and operational requirements
  • Assist with projects and initiatives that connect workforce management processes with other operational systems such as POS and SAP
  • Track project activities, follow up on action items, and help ensure workforce-related initiatives are completed successfully

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Understanding of workforce management concepts, including scheduling, staffing, labor planning, or timekeeping processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Comfortable working with reports, spreadsheets, and workforce-related metrics
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Eagerness to learn new systems, processes, and business operations
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and support a business that operates across multiple shifts and locations

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • BS/BA degree in Business, Operations, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
  • 0-3 years of experience in workforce management, scheduling, retail operations, hospitality, food & beverage, business analysis, or a related field
  • Experience using Workforce Management systems (Blue Yonder experience preferred but not required)
  • Experience working with workforce scheduling, labor planning, timekeeping, or operational reporting is a plus
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP, POS systems, or reporting tools is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with both corporate and field teams
