Position Summary
The POS Manager is responsible for owning and governing all POS system configurations and SKU management. This role serves as the single point of control for all POS-related changes, ensuring consistency, data integrity, and operational efficiency across all locations. All POS requests flow through this role to maintain standardization.
Key Responsibilities;:
Centralized POS Ownership
  • Lead and oversee all POS configurations, SKU creation/maintenance, pricing structures, and menu/item governance across all locations
  • Act as the single point of control for all POS-related changes, ensuring all updates follow a standardized intake, approval, and deployment process
  • Maintain consistency across locations while allowing for controlled local variations where needed

Financial & GL Alignment
  • Partner closely with Accounting/Finance to ensure accurate GL mapping, account codes, and revenue classification across all areas
  • Validate that all SKUs, categories, and revenue streams align with financial reporting requirements
  • Assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies between POS data and financial systems
  • Support audits, reconciliations, and ongoing financial data integrity initiatives

SKU & Catalog Management
  • Own the lifecycle of all POS SKUs including creation, updates, deactivation, and standardization
  • Ensure proper categorization, mapping, tax rules, modifiers, and reporting alignment
  • Eliminate duplication, misuse, and inconsistent setup across properties

Change Management & Governance
  • Establish and manage a formal request process for all POS changes (items, pricing, users, integrations, etc.)
  • Review, approve, and prioritize requests in alignment with operations and finance
  • Coordinate deployments to minimize operational disruption

Data, Reporting & Finance Alignment
  • Lead POS data governance to support BI tools and enterprise reporting
  • Partner with Finance to review cash variances, transaction anomalies, and reporting accuracy

Documentation & Communication
  • Create and maintain clear technical and operational documentation
  • Communicate updates, changes, and best practices to Operations and stakeholders

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience managing POS
  • Strong understanding of multi-location POS environments and standardization strategies
  • Experience with change management and system governance processes
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, IT, and vendors
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable acting as a gatekeeper and enforcing governance
