Job description

INSTRUMENTATION amp; CONTROL TECH
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Instrumentation amp; Control Technicians with 3–5 years of experience handle electrical systems, PLC equipment, automation components, and related industrial controls while performing repairs, rebuilds, installations, and calibrations.
  • They conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshoot faulty equipment, and ensure all machinery operates safely and correctly.
  • The role requires maintaining tools and parts inventory, completing maintenance reports, and keeping all work areas clean and orderly.
  • Technicians also participate in daily work‑order meetings, operate power tools safely, and coordinate with vendors or service providers as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Candidates must be able to work safely in heavy industrial environments and hold a high school diploma or GED with a solid industrial electrician background.
  • They must be proficient with electrical installation tools, power tools, hoists, AC motors, VFDs, power distribution systems, sensors, instruments, HMIs, and have a working understanding of PLC systems.
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication skills, teamwork, and knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions are essential.
  • Candidates must also be able to work overtime, weekends, and respond to call‑outs as needed to support operations.
SKILLS/WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Candidates must demonstrate strong power‑tool proficiency along with required industrial electrician experience and general electrical skills.
  • They will work in plant and surface‑mining environments that can be hot, cold, wet, dusty, moderately noisy, and physically demanding, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • The role requires the ability to recognize hazards, hear and see warning signals, and adapt to varying conditions.
  • Candidates must also be willing to work overtime and flexible shifts as needed to support operations.
BENEFITS/SCHEDULE
  • This full‑time role pays $25–$30 per hour with a minimum of 40 hours per week and includes 401(k), health, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off.
  • The schedule consists of 8‑hour shifts Monday through Friday with overtime, rotating shifts, and weekend availability as needed.
  • Candidates must be able to work the day shift and optionally the night shift.
