Candidates Eligible to Apply Internal/External Position Type Non-Exempt Staff Employment Status Part Time Position Funding Type Grant Posting Detail Information Minimum Education/Training/Experience Associate Degree in Business Administration or similar degree, certificate, or equivalent experience, including a minimum of two years of applicable experience. Preferred Education/Training/Experience TRiO background and/or experience Minimum Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of secondary and postsecondary education settings Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines Budget management Computer applications involving the design and management of databases and spreadsheets for the development and submission of special reports Detail oriented in record keeping practices Application of regulations, policies, and procedures Operation of standard office equipment Highly organized Strong oral and written communication Foster a cooperative and collaborative work environment Preferred Knowledge & Skills Bilingual in Spanish Event / Activity planning Licensing/Certification Requirements N/A Job Duties Performs specialized administrative support to the Director related to the planning, organizing, and coordinating or program activities Enters, reviews, and retrieves data and prepares reports, using computer software. Handle confidential information appropriately and exercise care in safeguarding information. Serves as a liaison between students, staff, the community, and the College in relation to the program and its activities. Ability to identify students' needs prior to directing them to the appropriate faculty or staff member. Willingness to help students enjoy their interactions with the College and its employees. Arranges meetings and appointments by securing and reserving rooms with notifications and courtesy reminders; secure meal and lodging reservations and deposits. Assists Director and/or other departmental staff in accounting for program funds, performance standards, as well as preparing financial requisitions, and general office support. Attend various virtual trainings/webinars regarding TRIO programs policies: Evaluation, Recordkeeping and Reporting Student/Project Performance and Budget Management and Statutory/Regulatory Requirements, along with any applicable training provided by the College. Physical Requirements The position requires lifting 15 pounds, the ability to push a cart, and assist with event set-up..
