We are looking for an experienced Server to join our team! You will be helping to create exceptional experiences for our customers during their dining experience with us by taking and serving food and drink orders and resolving customer issues.

We currently own and operate 4 successful establishments: Calypso Bar and Grill, Repeal Bourbon and Burgers, 2 Hair of the Dog Eaterys (Downtown Norfolk Granby, and Loehmanns Plaza in Virginia Beach)
Qualifications
  • Server experienced preferred, but not required
  • Highschool GED/Diploma preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of basic restaurant service and pleasant attitude.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift, balance, and carry tray of food/beverages up to 25 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must have a minimum of 3 days of open availability
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Responsible for clocking in/out at scheduled times in full uniform for each shift.
  • Perform dining room set-up, side work and closing duties
  • Serve guests according to established procedures
  • Greeting customers as they are seated at the table
  • Ensuring tables are clean and utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided
  • Compute guest checks, operate Upserve, and collect payments
  • Practicing alcohol awareness and exercising good judgment when serving guests alcohol in compliance with local laws
  • Report 100% of your tips for each shift.
  • Maintain restaurant safety and sanitation
  • Attend all employee meetings
  • Keep a clean and professional appearance at all times
  • Perform job functions according to performance standards.
  • Answer questions regarding the menu & specials
  • Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction
  • Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
