Job description

At Elma Electronic, we design and manufacture high-performance electronic systems that support critical applications across defense, aerospace, industrial technology, and other advanced markets. We are currently seeking a skilled Assembler, Harness to join our growing team in Fremont, CA as we prepare for upcoming production ramp-ups and key program implementations.

What You'll Do
In this role, you will assemble, test, and inspect high-quality cable and harness assemblies used across our system-level builds. Key responsibilities include:
  • Build semi-complex to complex cable harnesses, including AC/DC power cables, I/O cabling, and custom cable assemblies
  • Follow established methods, drawings, samples, and work instructions to complete assemblies accurately
  • Use hand tools and cable-specific equipment such as wire strippers, crimpers, soldering stations, and cable testers
  • Perform in-process and final inspections; test cable assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Support wiring of built chassis when custom cabling workload is minimal
  • Maintain ESD compliance and follow Elma workmanship standards
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and aligned with housekeeping guidelines
  • Meet production schedules, quality standards, and documentation requirements
What You Bring
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in cable or harness assembly
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings, samples, and written instructions
  • Familiarity with standard cable assembly tools and equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Manual dexterity and comfort performing fine manipulation tasks
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
  • Comfort working in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment
Compensation
  • Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
