Hess Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable OTR Driver to safely transport equipment and materials between facilities and job sites. This role is critical to keeping operations running smoothly and on schedule. Essential Functions 

1. Loads and hauls oversize loads after completing pre trip inspections on trucks and trailers and ensuring loads are secure. 
2. Contacts customers to manage arrangements for unloading. 
3. Ties down/ secures loads. Assists in loading/unloading. Performs visual verification of checks on loads prior to moving vehicle. On initial hook/unhook, visually verifies everything is moving correctly: i.e., brakes released and not dragging tires. 
4. Sets tanks and treater sheds. 
5. Works on, washes, and cleans trucks and trailers as needed. 
6. Maintains awareness of preventive maintenance and inspections on assigned vehicles. Communicates maintenance needs on assigned vehicles to supervisor as needed.
7. Uses EDL (electronic driver log) and maintains detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations. 
8. Completes necessary paperwork and works in yard or other departments when needed. 
9. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Secures tools, materials, and equipment at end of day.
10. Other duties as assigned.

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
2. Valid Class A Driver's License and updated physical card. Must be able to pass a MVR (Motor Vehicle Report).
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate detailed information to customers, coworkers, and management. 
4. Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, procedure manuals and job instructions and basic problem-solving skills. 
5. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages. 
6. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
7. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
8. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
9. Ability to use hand tools.
10. Ability to use department equipment.
11. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
