Job description

The Regional Product Manager is responsible for managing the strategy, performance, and lifecycle of assigned product categories within the North American market. This role uses customer and market insights, business performance data, and cross-functional collaboration to identify growth opportunities, optimize the product portfolio, and support new product development and launches. Partners with Global Product Management and key business functions to ensure regional priorities are aligned with global product strategies while driving revenue, profitability, and long-term portfolio performance. This role is considered a HYBRID position with periodic onsite work at our headquarters in Apple Valley, Minnesota.

What will you be doing?

Product Strategy & Portfolio Management Own the regional product portfolio and manage the full product lifecycle. Develop regional product strategies aligned with global category objectives. Identify growth opportunities through customer insights, competitive intelligence, and market analysis. Recommend portfolio expansion, rationalization, and product enhancements. Develop and support business cases for new products and product enhancements. Provide North American market input into the global product roadmap.
Commercial Performance & Financial Ownership Monitor product sales, margin, profitability, pricing, warranty trends, inventory performance, and market share. Analyze financial and operational performance to identify opportunities and risks. Develop pricing recommendations and support execution of pricing strategies. Drive actions to improve revenue, profitability, and overall portfolio performance.
Customer & Market Intelligence Serve as the Voice of the Customer for assigned product categories. Gather customer and market insights through customer visits, field observations, distributor engagement, and other VOC activities. Monitor industry trends, codes and standards, competitive activity, and emerging technologies. Translate customer and market insights into product improvements and future innovation opportunities.
Cross-Functional Leadership Partner with Global Product Management to align regional priorities with long-term product strategies. Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales, Product Marketing, Finance, and Customer Service to advance product and business priorities. Support new product development through the Stage Gate process. Coordinate cross-functional readiness for successful product launches. Influence stakeholders and drive initiatives without direct authority.
Business Planning & Product Support Maintain product performance dashboards and portfolio reporting. Support business planning, forecasting, and portfolio performance reviews. Develop product documentation and business recommendations to support decision-making. Participate in strategic planning initiatives across the product organization.

What will you need?

5–10 years of progressive experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Category Management, Engineering, or Industrial Sales. Experience managing technical product portfolios in a B2B manufacturing environment. Experience supporting product launches and product lifecycle management. Building products, plumbing, HVAC, hydronics, mechanical systems, or industrial manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to travel up to 20% annually.
