Join our team as a Dispatcher and play a vital role in keeping our UNL community safe. You'll be the critical link between callers in need and emergency responders-making a difference every shift.
What You'll Do
  • Answer emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, and EMS services
  • Use multi-line phones, radio systems, and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) tools to coordinate rapid response
  • Communicate clearly and calmly with callers and first responders during high-stress situations
  • Relay essential information to public safety officials and partner agencies
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Complete six months of paid training
