Director of Quality Assurance & Risk Management

Position: Full-Time

For over 60 years, Calvary Healing Center has provided a full continuum of care, specializing in addiction treatment for adults across the Phoenix area and Nationwide.  Calvary’s proven treatment programs address the practical, physical, and spiritual aspects of addiction for lasting recovery. Our flagship location in Phoenix offers on-site detoxification and inpatient treatment programs, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). We also have a satellite clinic offering Intensive Outpatient Programs in the West Valley region and Metropolitan Phoenix.  Through our programs we offer many other holistic healing and treatment options complementing our services ranging from yoga, art workshops, and music.

Summary of Duties

The Quality Assurance and Risk Management Director has broad responsibility to protect the hospital's assets from loss. The Director of Risk Management is responsible for coordinating the loss control efforts and advising management and administration on all potential sources of loss and for making recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure. The structure and functions of the Risk Management Program are designed to comply with guidelines and standards of CARF, other regulatory agencies, and the UHS T.E.R.M. © Program.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, or related health field preferred.  Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Completion of BLS & First Aid within 30 days of employment 
  • Completion of Handle With Care within 30 days of employment
  • Valid Airzona Fingerprint Clearance Card or able to obtain within 30 days of hire 
  • At least four (4) years of experience in risk management/improving organizational performance within a substance abuse, acute medical, or psychiatric treatment setting.
  • A strong knowledge of CARF, CMS standards, and any other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing inpatient and outpatient care facilities.
