Type: Contract

Pay: $2400 weekly

Location: Peridot AZ 85542

Shift: 5 days 8 hr shifts

Experience: Five (5) years of clinical practice experience with three (3) years of progressive performance improvement experience

License: NEEDS TO BE CERTIFIED

Responsibilities

  • Plans, directs and coordinates the Risk Management and Compliance Program to minimize the risk of personal injury to patients, visitors and employees reducing exposure to liability or litigation. 2. Monitors risk management and compliance issues, conducts in-depth analysis when necessary, and assists individuals or departments with development of corrective action/prevention programs. 3. Oversees the Compliance program, develops and maintains a written compliance plan and annual evaluation of the plan’s effectiveness; ensures that all required elements of a compliance program are addressed. 4. Coordinates the hospital’s clinical and administrative activities to identify, evaluate and reduce the risk of injury and loss to patients, personnel, visitors, and the institution itself. 5. Develops and applies standards to evaluate a hospital’s performance in conducting risk management activities designed to identify, evaluate and reduce the risk of patient injury associated with care and services. 6. Investigates risk management/compliance issues within the facility and participates in Root Cause Analysis of internal error reports. 7. Provides on-going staff development and education in the Risk Management and Compliance process to facilitate an understanding of the Risk Management and Compliance Program. 8. Uses risk factor data to develop evidence-based patient safety interventions and process improvement strategies. 9. Supports and coordinates facility risk assessments, root cause analysis, failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), and other investigations. 10. Demonstrates expertise and participation in Performance Improvement team facilitation, leadership and membership. 11. Ensures that confidentiality is provided by the Risk Management and Compliance Program. 12. Develops policies and procedures to establish guidelines for the organization, based on analysis of risk management and compliance issues. 13. Supports and encourages error reporting throughout the organization through a nonpunitive error reporting system. 


Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in risk management within a healthcare setting.

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Risk Management, or related field required.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing risk management frameworks.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a results-driven environment with high visibility.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to lead projects and initiatives to improve risk management processes.

  • Experience in preparing detailed risk reports and presentations for senior management.

  • Knowledge of current industry trends and regulatory changes in risk management.

  • Capability to provide training and guidance on risk management practices.
