Job Description

Role Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Designer to join the Corporate Creative Group. Our team produces a wide range of creative work across events, digital, video, consumer-facing, and internal communications. We are seeking a highly conceptual and detail-oriented designer with a strong foundation in typography, brand identity, and visual systems who can develop and execute sophisticated, high-impact creative across multiple platforms.

This role is ideal for a designer who is deeply passionate about design and visual storytelling, someone who thrives in developing brand identities, event collateral, environmental graphics, and polished presentation materials while collaborating closely with cross-functional creative teams. The ideal candidate brings both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with an elevated design sensibility, a strong point of view, and the ability to translate ideas into thoughtful, visually compelling experiences.

Job Duties

  • Design and produce high-quality visual content for internal and external communications, including brand identities, event collateral, environmental graphics, digital and social assets, presentations, and print materials. 
  • Conceptualize and present multiple creative approaches that align with project goals, brand standards, and audience needs. 
  • Collaborate closely with creative leadership and cross-functional partners to develop thoughtful, visually compelling design solutions. 
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of brand systems, visual identities, and design standards across the NBCUniversal portfolio. 
  • Ensure creative excellence and consistency across all deliverables with a strong attention to typography, composition, hierarchy, and detail. 
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining timelines and delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines. 
  • Stay current on design trends, emerging tools, and evolving creative technologies.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent professional experience 
  • 5+ years of professional design experience in an agency, in-house, or studio environment 
  • Conceptual creative thinking and hands-on design execution across a wide range of formats and platforms
  • Solid portfolio showcasing multidisciplinary design expertise in typography, branding, digital, corporate identity, and event-related design, including case studies that demonstrate process, strategic thinking, visual systems, and final outcomes.
  • Experience designing across print, digital, social, and environmental applications 
  • Advanced understanding of design principles including typography, layout, grid systems, color theory, hierarchy, and visual storytelling 
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma 

Desired Characteristics

  • Exceptional conceptual thinker with exceptional attention to detail and design 
  • Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced creative environment 
  • Passion for typography, visual systems, and brand-building 
  • Experience with environmental design and large-scale event graphics 
  • Comfortable exploring and learning emerging AI and creative technologies 
  • Understanding of how emerging AI and automation tools can support ideation, design systems, asset scaling, rapid prototyping, and creative workflow optimization
  • Experience with motion or 3D tools such as Blender, Cinema 4D, etc. is a plus 
  • Illustration skills are a plus 

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to work in New York, NY 
  • This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
