JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the preparation and cooking food for multi-unit operation following all established standards across Universal Kids Resort. Ensures quality food service, presentation and taste is always provided and consistent. Must be highly motivated and detailed orientated with a passion to deliver best in class food.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares food in a timely fashion that is to the specifications of the recipe, including being aware of allergen information, using proper knife skills, and ensuring the quality of food meets Universal standards.
  • Follows proper State of Texas HACCP program and ServSafe certification and procedures, along with properly using the portion control tools and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Performs daily operating procedures which include closing/opening, stocking, and helping unload deliveries. Assists Sous Chef as directed for inventory requests.
  • Partners closely with other Team Members in a fast-paced kitchen environment, along with providing excellent guest service in moments of guest interaction.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Individual Contributor.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule based on business demands.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 year of Line Cook experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
