Job Description

The Universal Pictures International Finance team plays a key role in supporting the UPI Senior Management team.  It oversees a complex, multinational network of owned operating companies, licensees and JVs.  The team will partner closely with other Head Office functions, all UPI operating companies and corporate groups based in Universal City, London, and Amsterdam.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Manage Overhead and Capital Expenditure actuals and forecasts, including consolidation of Operating Company and Head Office updates, variance analysis, and identification of risks & opportunities
  • Consolidate and review annual Overhead and Capital Expenditure budgets, including preparation of Head Office budgets, year-over-year variance analysis, and presentation to Studio HQ FP&A.
  • Analyze and track headcount reporting providing semi-annual variance explanations
  • Monitor and update key performance metrics by territory on a quarterly basis
  • Direct collaboration with Operating Companies, other Head Office departments, Studio HQ, UIP JV, and HR
  • Work closely with VP, Global Controller on special projects and cost initiatives
  • Prepare various reporting for UPI Senior Management team designed to drive discussion on operational
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field such as economics
  • Excellent Excel, financial analytical skills are essential
  • Must be available to work extended hours as needed

  • Ability to effectively handle sensitive and confidential matters
  • Solid analytics and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and high standards in quality and accurate reporting
  • Well organized and able to prioritize multiple and competing priorities / deadlines
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills and a proactive approach to building working relationships in a matrix environment
  • Knowledge of Business Warehouse / SAP is a significant advantage

Additional Requirements: 

Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
