Job DescriptionSummary

This mid-senior level position within the machinery sector serves as a vital technical and sales bridge, driving the promotion and distribution of IFS pumps and control systems across global markets. The role is dedicated to expanding market share by guiding internal and external sales teams, selecting optimal pump solutions, and fostering strong relationships with distributors and end-users in industrial, wastewater, mining, and dewatering sectors. Success in this role requires a blend of engineering expertise and commercial acumen to navigate complex sales cycles and deliver tailored product strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Engage directly with distributors and end-users to define specific pump-selection criteria and identify primary market opportunities.
  • Connect clients with the appropriate IFS distributor network tailored to their industry needs, including industrial, wastewater, mining, and dewatering applications.
  • Recommend and specify the correct pumps, control systems, spare parts, and submersible accessories based on project requirements.
  • Generate accurate product quotations by utilizing price lists and technical data sheets while analyzing competitor offerings to highlight IFS equivalents.
  • Assess liquid properties to determine the most suitable material specifications for pump construction.
  • Define control-panel logic and electrical power needs, collaborating with engineering teams to finalize panel specifications.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and engineering departments to create effective product promotions and deliver comprehensive training sessions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives while ensuring all operations strictly adhere to OSHA safety standards.
Requirements
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  • Demonstrate at least three years of experience in sales engineering.
  • Exhibit the ability to interpret pump performance curves, engineering blueprints, and electrical schematics.
  • Show proficiency in preparing formal product pricing and quotations.
  • Maintain strong mechanical and electrical technical aptitude or relevant training background.
  • Understand sales distribution channels and possess the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Display excellent business judgment, customer service orientation, and both technical and non-technical communication skills.
  • Manage a dynamic workload with strong attention to detail, prioritization, and teamwork capabilities.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
