The United Academy Trainer is responsible for delivering world-class safety and equipment operator training programs to internal and external customers while supporting the growth and profitability of United Academy. This role serves as a subject matter expert in equipment operation, safety compliance, adult learning, and customer training solutions.

The Trainer partners closely with Sales, Operations, and Customers to identify training needs, develop customized training programs, drive training revenue, and ensure regulatory compliance. Through instructor-led training, practical evaluations, Train-the-Trainer programs, and digital learning solutions, the Trainer helps customers improve safety performance, operator competency, and workforce development. What you'll do: Deliver instructor-led safety and equipment operator training programs for customers and United Rentals employees.

Conduct practical evaluations, Train-the-Trainer programs, and Certified Evaluator certifications. Utilize digital learning platforms, mobile applications, simulators, and blended learning solutions to enhance the learning experience. Adapt training delivery methods to meet customer operational needs while maintaining compliance and quality standards.

Serve as a subject matter expert on equipment operation, safety requirements, and workforce development. Partner with Sales, Operations, and local branch teams to identify training opportunities and support revenue growth. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, branch personnel, and regional stakeholders.

Participate in customer meetings, site visits, training consultations, and proposal development. Promote the value of safety training, eLearning, Certified Evaluator programs, and workforce development solutions. Communicate training schedules, customer opportunities, and market intelligence to local and regional teams.

Maintain accurate and timely training records, practical evaluations, certifications, and customer documentation. Utilize company-approved digital platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Salesforce, and mobile technologies to manage training activities. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and training standards.

Maintain instructor certifications, equipment qualifications, and professional credentials required to perform assigned duties. Support quality assurance initiatives, audits, reporting requirements, and continuous improvement efforts. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or a combination of college and related work experience required.

In select markets, bilingual (Spanish) is required or preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience delivering equipment operator, safety, industrial, or workforce development training programs required. Experience conducting practical evaluations, Train-the-Trainer programs, or competency Assessments preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, CSA, MSHA, and other applicable safety regulations and industry standards preferred. Experience operating and/or training on construction, industrial, material handling, or aerial equipment preferred. Proven ability to build customer relationships, identify training opportunities, and support business development initiatives.

Experience collaborating with Sales, Operations, and cross-functional teams to develop customer-focused training solutions. Strong facilitation, presentation, coaching, and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences. Experience utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS), CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), mobile applications, and digital documentation tools.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and adapt to changing customer and business needs.
