Job Description:
Purpose: To serve as an instructor and program coordinator in the Aviation Program
Responsibilities:
  • Teach 12 hours of aviation courses, including ground courses, at both lower andupper levels.
  • Assist in academic advising of aviation students and monitoring their progress towards meeting both degree requirements and FAA certification requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring effectiveness of aviation curriculum and associated courses and contribute ideas for improvement as needed.
  • Contribute to development and implementation of initiatives to recruit new students.
  • Contribute to efforts to establish strong relationships with other aviation-related organizations, companies, and school operating in the region.
  • Serve on university committees as needed.
  • Provide service to community as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Aviation or Bachelor's degree in Aviation with at least 15 years of instructor experience (CFI, CFII, MEI) with a reputable flight school.
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to motivate and engage with students.
  • Self-motivated, cooperative, flexible, creative.
