Position Description

RNs are central to our facilities and their skills are vital to the care we provide, making a difference in patients’ lives every day. Cadia Healthcare is dedicated to providing the best care possible and as a RN/LPN Unit Manager, that’s exactly what you’ll do! By relying on your nursing and managerial experience, you’ll supervise the day to day duties of the nursing staff. We’re excited for you to come and join our accomplished staff of medical professionals!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, charting in electronic medical records, etc., as necessary.
  • Review documentation in the electronic health record/POC for accuracy and completeness.
  • Inform unit nursing staff of new admissions, their expected time of arrival, room assignment, etc. and assure that rooms are ready for new admissions.
  • Consult with the resident, his/her family, and the resident’s provider in planning the resident’s care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., as necessary.
  • Assure that notification of the resident’s provider and next of kin have been notified when there is a change in the resident’s condition.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy to order/reorder resident medications including narcotics.
  • Review the Medication Administration Audit Report, Facility Dashboard and C.N.A. flow books for completeness of documentation and accuracy.
  • Participate in an on-call schedule.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN/LPN in this state or compact state.
  • Must possess a current CPR license.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred
  • Previous long term care experience is desirable.
