Valiant Mind Counseling Center is seeking a committed and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This role is integral in providing high-quality mental health support through telehealth services, offering the flexibility to choose your own hours while ensuring exceptional patient care. With a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $130,000 annually, you will play a vital role in the mental well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, and ongoing assessments to understand each client's unique challenges.
  • Implement effective follow-up care strategies tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring continuity of care throughout their mental health journey.
  • Determine and coordinate the most appropriate level of care for each patient, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Complete necessary statistical and administrative reports with attention to detail, contributing to compliance and quality assurance initiatives within the center.
  • Participate in collaborative efforts with external partners, including the Department of Correction, to facilitate patient access to critical resources and appropriate housing.
  • Lead engaging and therapeutic group sessions, utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities to foster healing and personal growth.
  • Document all clinical interactions promptly and accurately, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Engage in weekly clinical supervision with a designated Clinical Supervisor, promoting professional development and reflective practice.
  • Contribute actively to case conferences, sharing insights and expertise to collectively enhance the treatment approaches for patients under consideration for mental health services.
  • Possibly administer psychological tests as required, using findings to inform treatment planning and patient care strategies.
  • Supervise social work interns or student volunteers, providing guidance and mentorship to the next generation of mental health professionals.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse range of patients facing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. Our client base is composed of individuals from different age groups, backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses, all requiring tailored therapeutic interventions that respect their unique conditions and experiences.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
  • Possession of a valid State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
  • Experience with telehealth practices is preferred, focusing on remote engagement techniques and digital record-keeping systems.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in mental health counseling within community settings or clinical environments.
  • Knowledge of mental health legislation and policies relevant to California.
