Job description

OCCU, a member-owned credit union based in Eugene, Oregon, is guided by its vision to Enrich Lives. This vision shapes every action, aligning the team with a greater sense of purpose. With each interaction, OCCU strives to positively impact individuals and communities. The values of tenacity, humility, and big-heartedness are central to OCCU's commitment to prioritizing members.

OCCU is seeking a Regional Business Relationship Advisor to join our Business Services team. This hybrid (remote and on-site in Bend, OR) role offers a starting salary of $70,670$88,337.60 per year and is eligible for incentives.

The Regional Business Banking Advisor, or Regional Business Relationship Advisor is responsible for acquiring new small to middle-market business clients and increasing the wallet share of existing business members within their designated region. This role entails cultivating, strengthening, and sustaining profitable relationships, thereby enhancing OCCUs footprint in the business sector. The Advisor also develops strategic partnerships across all OCCU business lines to facilitate referrals and optimize member engagement. Through effective relationship management, the Advisor advocates a comprehensive portfolio of financial products and services, delivers relevant financial information to members, and identifies cross-marketing opportunities to meet member needs, positioning themselves as a trusted advisor.

As a Regional Business Relationship Advisor, you will identify potential members, prepare proposals to demonstrate OCCUs benefits, and meet targets for calls, deposits, loans, and treasury services. You'll build and review relationships with business members, monitor account performance, and suggest improvements. The role involves expanding OCCUs presence, developing new business, collaborating with branch teams for sales and referrals, and networking with professionals to generate leads. Youll be expected to stay informed on OCCU and competitor products, complete loan requests, communicate with underwriting staff, and ensure compliance with OCCU and regulatory standards.

Applicants must have at least five years' experience in commercial and business banking, familiarity with financial and digital systems, and a background in structuring credit products for small businesses across industries. Strong relationship management, business development, analytical, problem-solving, sales, and credit quality skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. A bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, or proven experience delivering measurable business outcomes, is necessary.

OCCU offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including low-cost medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k)-retirement plan with employer match, paid time off in addition to 13 paid holidays, tuition reimbursement for eligible education and training, and company-paid long-term disability.

OCCU is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply online by submitting their resume and cover letter detailing their qualifications and experience.
