Job description

American Heritage Credit Union, a $5 billion Credit Union has an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Facilities Technician. This position is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities within the credit union. Assesses and monitors contractor/vendor performance and works closely with them to ensure work is completed according to specifications..
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Provide Vice President of Facilities with feedback as to the physical conditions of all credit union owned or leased properties while maintaining a defined regimen of maintenance at each, completing any required paperwork or reports.
  • Prepare and assist Vice President of Facilities with specific job and annual corporate budgets.
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs such as unclogging garbage disposals, drains, repairs of faucets and toilets. Contact and coordinate with outside master plumber if necessary.
  • Coordinate and plan with other departments for all major events sponsored by the credit union.
  • Perform minor repairs of credit union property at all locations, sometimes requiring pushing and/or pulling heavy materials and equipment. This includes maintenance of parking lots, parking stripes, and speed bumps.
  • Perform minor electrical work at all credit union locations. This includes tasks such as changing light bulbs, diagnosing minor electrical problems and contacting an outside firm when issues arise involving main panels. Electrical tasks include but are not limited to running wire, changing overhead light fixtures and ballasts.
  • Perform more complex electrical work as needed including breaker replacement and wiring.
  • Perform minor carpentry work as assigned, including building of walls.
  • Perform finishing work including painting of walls, repair of drywall, and ceilings.
  • Perform minor landscape work including daily and weekly cleanup of credit union campuses. This includes planting of trees and shrubs and the watering and care of all plantings.
  • During inclement weather, ensure that all credit union locations are plowed and salted and walkways are safe for both member and employee access to the buildings. Coordinate with vendors hired to complete these tasks.
  • Perform flooring tasks including carpet tile, vinyl composition tile (VCT) and cove base, underlayment, ceramic tile (CT), and grouting.
  • Ensure that all work undertaken by staff is done so in a safe manner and that there is compliance with all OSHA and other regulatory agency directives on a safe work environment. This includes but is not limited to personal protective equipment (PPEs), Tag-out/Lock-outs, Operation of equipment, and safety gear.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems at all credit union locations.
  • Knowledge of all generator operations, both permanent and supplemental.
  • Perform basic locksmith duties.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Three to five years of similar or related experience.
  • Must have valid Drivers License.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is: regularly required to stoop, lift, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, feel, type, grasp, use repetitive motion; frequently required to climb, balance, push, pull, and perform heavy work by exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Occasionally required to crawl. Required to function in narrow aisles or passageways, including crawl spaces, shafts, manholes, small enclosed rooms, small sewage and water line pipes, and other areas.
