Pay Rate: $37.92 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Union Position

The normal schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

During scheduled plant downtime, approximately every three weeks, the schedule changes to:

• Monday–Wednesday: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Thursday–Friday: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

We are seeking three experienced Industrial Electricians to join our maintenance team in Macon, GA. These are permanent union positions being added due to upcoming retirements, offering an excellent opportunity to join an established manufacturing operation with long-term stability, competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Our manufacturing operations depend on skilled maintenance professionals to keep sophisticated production equipment operating safely and efficiently.

• Four (4) years of industrial electrical experience required
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation problems
• Ability to read and work from wiring diagrams, sketches, written specifications, and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong commitment to workplace safety

As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical and instrumentation equipment throughout the manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform preventive and predictive electrical maintenance, electrical apparatus repairs, and installations.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble, test, and install electrical panels and conduit.
• Use precision test instruments, including VOMs, amp meters, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive inspections to identify potential problems and help prevent unplanned equipment downtime.
• Conduct scheduled inspections, accurately record test data, and initiate work orders for required repairs.
• Recommend equipment replacement when appropriate to improve machine reliability and running time.
• Diagnose electrical and instrumentation problems and determine the most effective repair method.
• Replace faulty electrical and electronic components and fabricate new parts as required.
• Overhaul motors, motor control panels, and other electrical equipment.
• Repair and replace electrical and electronic components on production and facility equipment.
• Perform all electrical work in accordance with the latest National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and applicable local building codes.
• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date wiring diagrams.
• Work from electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, sketches, written specifications, and verbal instructions to complete installations and troubleshoot equipment.
• Work closely with production supervision to prevent equipment breakdowns and coordinate the scheduling of repairs.
• Provide direction to production employees and other maintenance personnel assisting with repairs and inspections.
• Work independently with limited supervision while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all plant safety rules, department procedures, and applicable regulations to prevent injury and protect equipment and materials.
• Follow published safety rules and department procedures when operating motorized vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required by the Maintenance Department Supervisor.

The ideal candidate is a skilled industrial electrician who takes pride in troubleshooting problems, preventing equipment failures, and keeping manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently.

You should be comfortable working with industrial electrical systems, motors, controls, panels, instrumentation, test equipment, and electrical diagrams. The ability to identify the root cause of equipment problems and make effective repairs is essential.
