Job description

Full Time Mechanic Position
We are proud to offer our Mechanics these great benefits:
  • Starting hourly pay is based on qualifications and ranges from $25.41 to $33.88 per hour. Hourly rates increase periodically based on contract.

Work includes basic to moderate levels of Transit Bus repair. Employees perform repairs on diesel and Electric powered transit vehicles. We encourage all levels of mechanical experience to apply.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
  • Class B CDL with a P endorsement License is required.
  • Employees are required to have his/her own tools.
  • Due to the “Safety Sensitive” classification of this job, prospective employees must meet satisfactory initial drug screening. All employees, in this job title will participate in random drug testing.
  • Must be able to work all hours associated with the position to include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • This is a unionized position, employees in this title are covered by the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1493.
