Production Supervisor

Location: Fremont, OH
Pay: $64,000$90,000 per year, based on experience
Overtime: Paid for hours worked over 45 hours per week
Shifts Available:

  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM10:00 PM, MondayFriday
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM6:00 AM, Sunday eveningFriday morning

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Production Supervisors to lead manufacturing operations at a busy production facility in Fremont, OH. These positions are responsible for supervising approximately 90 employees, maintaining production standards, and creating a safe, accountable, and positive workplace culture.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, with automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Candidates with union manufacturing experience are highly desired.

Bilingual candidates who speak Spanish and English.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader who is comfortable holding teams accountable, developing employees, and driving production results.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead approximately 90 production employees across an assigned shift
  • Manage daily production activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals
  • Provide direction, coaching, and performance feedback to employees
  • Hold employees accountable for attendance, performance, safety, quality, and productivity expectations
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and healthy workplace culture
  • Monitor production performance and address issues that could impact production goals
  • Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and other departments to resolve production issues
  • Ensure employees follow company policies, safety procedures, and standard work instructions
  • Assist with employee training, development, and performance management
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, productivity, and employee engagement
  • Address production concerns quickly and communicate issues to management
  • Maintain accurate production and employee records as required
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and company goals
  • Ensure proper staffing and coverage for the assigned shift
  • Work overtime as needed to support production requirements
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience supervising a large production workforce preferred
  • Union manufacturing experience is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive workplace culture
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to work the assigned shift and overtime as needed
  • Bilingual Spanish/English or Haitian Creole/English strongly preferred
