With over 16,000 units across 13 states under management and more than 600 employees, Paths manages a suite of capabilities spanning the entire property management life cycle, including: development, construction, property management, maintenance, and security.

Summary: We are looking for a professional Handyperson with residential or apartment building maintenance experience to assist with the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of building systems and equipment. This is a hands-on position for someone comfortable completing a variety of repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical, apartment repairs, and general building maintenance.

Essential functions/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the following

  • Performs routine maintenance work and makes repairs to properties as needed, including light plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and light electrical
  • Works closely with Property Manager/Superintendent who will help coordinate tasks
  • Coordinates with tenants to set times to access apartments to make repairs
  • Efficiently manages incoming service requests
  • Repairs walkways and exteriors
  • Tracks time and logs activities and the work completed for each job
  • Completes renovation projects as needed
  • Performs high-quality work with attention to detail
  • Participates in on-call rotations with the Superintendent to respond to tenant requests and issues, with compensation provided for travel to the property

Requirements:

  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with a successful track record as a Maintenance Technician/Handyperson
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in construction and maintenance
  • Able to handle a wide variety of repairs, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills to communicate with tenants and other staff effectively
  • Good at using email, text messages, and apps for business purposes
  • Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including additional hours and adjusted shifts as required
  • Owning tools needed for general handyperson tasks is preferred

Pay Range: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
