Job description

SUMMARY 

Mortenson is currently seeking a Construction Coordinator II with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.   

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide day-to-day construction management support 
  • Prepare daily progress reports 
  • Review technical documents (blueprints, estimates) 
  • Assist with project start-up and closing tasks 
  • Maintain supporting documentation (field books, daily reports, safety logs) 
  • Arrange trucking, order fulfillment, and equipment delivery 
  • Document and recommend process efficiency changes 
  • Perform basic field quality and safety inspections 
  • Document conformance to plans and specifications 
  • Promote Mortenson's safety culture 
  • Track construction progress with photos and record-keeping 
  • Develop spreadsheets and tools for project coordination 
  • Demonstrate advanced skills and knowledge 
  • Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High school diploma or equivalent and previous experience as a Construction Coordinator I or a Non-scientific or math skills-related college degree (e.g., fine arts, philosophy, business) or a 2-year degree in construction. 
  • Strong Microsoft Office and internet skills  
  • Construction experience preferred  
  • Ability to learn and utilize different types of computer software used in Construction Management to support any aspect of a construction project  
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally 
  • Ability to effectively handle detailed information and meet deadlines 
  • Ability to multitask  
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback 
  • Ability to travel up to 100%

The base pay range for this role is $64,000 MIN - $86,400 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). 

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
