Job description

Title of role: Reliability Lead - 1st shift

Location: Jonesboro, AR

Pay: starting base pay is $35.09 per hour during evaluation period

After successful evaluation period, wage increases to $36.82 per hour

Shift: 7am - 3:15pm, Monday through Friday

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The purpose of this role is to lead equipment and process reliability efforts across Processing (Compounding and Pre-Weigh) and Warehouse operations by driving loss elimination, improving asset performance, reducing downtime, and delivering sustainable operational improvements that support safety, quality, service, and cost objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Equipment Reliability

  • Own reliability strategy for Processing and Warehouse equipment
  • Identify and eliminate chronic downtime and recurring failures
  • Partner with Maintenance (MX) to improve PM effectiveness and breakdown response
  • Establish and enforce reliability standards (Including Training Support)
  • Maintain ownership of critical support Processing and Warehouse equipment reliability

Process Improvement & Projects

  • Lead reliability and process improvement projects across Processing and Warehouse
  • Partner with Processing Engineer on capital and optimization initiatives
  • Use structured problem solving (RCA, Why-Why, WCM) to drive permanent fixes

Loss Elimination & Performance

  • Analyze downtime, quality losses, and inefficiencies
  • Build and execute a loss elimination pipeline
  • Drive improvements in uptime, quality, and cost efficiency
  • Own resolution of key reliability issues. (Will include portables, tanks, forklifts, drum dumpers, dock doors and levelers, etc.)

Leadership Support & Coverage

  • Provide leadership support in the absence of the Area Lead
  • Ensure continuity of operations, decision-making, and escalation
  • Support Processing Leads in daily execution, prioritization, and problem-solving
  • Reinforce accountability, standards, and communication expectations

Standards & Capability Building

  • Develop and implement reliability standards for Processing and Warehouse
  • Coach teams on equipment ownership and early issue detection
  • Support standard work development and adherence

Success Measures

  • Reduction in Processing and Warehouse downtime and recurring failures
  • Improved reliability in Compounding, Pre-Weigh, and Warehouse operations
  • Execution and closure of improvement projects
  • Increased adherence to maintenance and operational standards

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, reliability, or process improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work autonomously
  • Strong coaching and communication skills.
  • Proven analytical skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience of manufacturing in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Company and World Class Manufacturing.
  • Experience as a team member within a Project Management team with an awareness of project management tools and techniques.
