About Us

Department Information
UNG's Theatre Department is one of two institutions, along with Brenau University, comprising the Gainesville Theatre Alliance, a one-of-a-kind collaboration between two North Georgia institutions of higher education.
Job Summary
UNG School of Communication, Film, & Theatre seeks part-time faculty to teach Stage Management and Production Management/Technical Direction classes for current theatre majors. The courses would cover professional and logistical practices for those positions as well as any pertinent history or philosophies surrounding the jobs.

  • Teach Stage Management classes
  • Teach Production Management & Technical Direction classes
  • If desired and available, could also teach core Theatre Appreciation class in both semesters.

Required Qualifications
  • MFA in Theatre Arts or PhD in Theatre Arts or the equivalent in significant professional experience at the regional and national level may be considered.
