As a subject matter expert in cash flow underwriting, you will play a key role in driving underwriting consistency, decision quality, operational excellence, and continuous process improvement across Credit Operations.

In this role, you will coach, mentor, and develop your team while balancing day-to-day underwriting responsibilities and contributing to strategic initiatives that support Bluevine's continued growth. What You'll Do:

  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of Bluevine's credit models, policies, and systems to support the development of underwriting tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Partner with the fraud team to identify emerging fraud trends across new applications and the existing portfolio, implementing process improvements to minimize losses.
  • Collaborate with risk operations leadership to identify and implement automation opportunities that improve scalability, efficiency, and the customer experience.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and influence stakeholders across other business teams.
  • Maintain SLAs while ensuring a high-quality customer experience through effective communication and collaboration across departments.

What We Look For:

  • 8+ years of underwriting experience, ideally within the credit, consumer/business lending, banking, or similar spaces.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve workflows, enhance productivity, and streamline processes is preferred.
  • Cash flow underwriting experience preferred
  • Strong people management skills including providing feedback, performance management, and development of direct reports
  • Relishes solving tough problems that have no obvious solutions and deals well with judgmental lending
  • Able to clearly and effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Maintains a positive attitude and stays determined when the going gets tough
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Finance, or similar
  • Impeccable judgment and acute attention to detail
  • Familiarity with underwriting loans, financial statements, tax documents

New Hire Base Salary Range: $97,800 - $119,800

This role is also eligible to earn annual performance-based incentive compensation in the form of a cash bonus. At Bluevine, we recognize the importance of fair and competitive compensation. Exact compensation may vary based on a variety of factors, including your experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market trends.
