We are looking to hire an Underground Mine Safety Superintendent! This position requires extensive experience in the mine safety industry. The schedule is 5 on, 2 off, but it is able to be negotiated at a later time. Pay will depend on experience but will fall in the advertised ranged. Per diem will be given for each shift worked. 
The successful candidate must have the following:
  • A current underground MSHA or the ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Mining certifications for the state of California
  • Blue Card holder for underground and surface or the ability to obtain 
  • Gas Testing card or the ability to obtain
  • Familiarity with California OSHA and Federal MSHA
  • Ability to keep all records for gas testing, safety performance, reports to company, reports to federal and state agencies
  • Ability to escort MSHA inspectors on site and during quarterly inspections
  • Must be able to assist the project manager when the project manager is off site
  • Verifiable work history
