Job description

Job Title: Underground Miner 3rd Shift

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety/housekeeping requirements within an industrial quarry/mine setting.

  • Operate multiple pieces of off-road heavy equipment in the process of mining gypsum.

  • Basic troubleshooting/maintenance skills to facilitate equipment performance.

  • Recording of production data and other results in the manner required.

  • Expected to take an active role in all plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision.

  • Adaptable to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, assignment of overtime, working weekends, etc. where applicable.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Some prior experience operating off-road equipment is preferred.

  • Able to operate assigned mobile equipment in a safe manner.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license. CDL a plus but not required.

  • Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks.

  • Ability to troubleshoot minor issues with the equipment.

  • Team player, good communication skills needed with all co-workers.

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

  • Must be able to pass ATF (Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms) Employee Possessor clearance.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
