Job description

J&A Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electrical is looking for an experienced Underground Plumbing Specialist who is confident, sharp with customers, and takes pride in quality work.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Install & Repair: Expertly install, repair, and maintain underground residential plumbing systems, including water and sewer lines, sanitary drainage systems, and other essential components. You’ll be proficient in both replacement and repair of these systems. 
  • Project Execution: Collaborate with team members to plan and complete underground plumbing installations that meet code requirements and exceed customer expectations. 
  • System Integration: Customize and connect underground water supply lines, drainage systems, and related fixtures to ensure safe, efficient, and seamless integration with existing infrastructure. 
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers and team members in a professional, courteous manner. 

What You'll Bring: 

  • Experience operating excavation equipment, including mini excavators, trenchers, and skid steers, for underground plumbing projects
  • Ability to safely dig, trench, and backfill in accordance with local codes and safety standards
  • Knowledge of utility locating practices and experience working around existing underground utilities
  • Hands-on experience with underground pipe lining/trenchless repair methods 
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as sewer cameras and locators to assess underground system conditions
  • Strong understanding of soil conditions, grading, and drainage considerations impacting underground installations
  • Exceptional communication abilities and a proactive, customer-first mindset
  • A clean driving record and valid driver’s license
