Role Overview

The Wet Mechanical Construction Manager (CM) is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, execution, and turnover of wet mechanical systems on large-scale semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, and mission-critical projects. The CM will establish strong working relationships with the General Contractor, design teams, vendors, and subcontractors to gain a comprehensive understanding of system scope, drawings, specifications, equipment requirements, and project objectives.


This role provides technical leadership and construction oversight for process utility and plant systems, including process piping, hydronic systems, cooling water systems, ultra-pure water (UPW), process cooling water (PCW), condenser water (CW), compressed dry air (CDA), and associated mechanical infrastructure. The Wet Mechanical CM will drive best practices in safety, constructability, quality, installation, testing, commissioning, and operational turnover while ensuring work is executed in alignment with project budget, schedule, and client expectations.


Primary systems include process piping, hydronic systems, Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Process Cooling Water (PCW), Condenser Water (CW), Compressed Dry Air (CDA), and associated plant utility infrastructure.


Responsibilities

  • Manage wet mechanical scope from design through commissioning and operational turnover.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of project requirements, drawings, specifications, and schedule milestones.
  • Coordinate with owners, contractors, vendors, engineers, and trade partners to ensure successful project execution.
  • Oversee procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and P&IDs to ensure constructability and system integration.
  • Facilitate coordination between Mechanical, Process, Electrical, Controls/I&C, and Commissioning teams.
  • Monitor project costs, schedules, labor productivity, and installation progress while identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Lead weekly coordination meetings and provide regular project status updates.
  • Support startup, turnover documentation, punch list management, and commissioning readiness.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all field activities.


Requirements:


Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent field experience.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting the installation and construction of wet mechanical systems on large industrial, semiconductor, manufacturing, or mission-critical projects.
  • Strong knowledge of process utilities, piping systems, and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, field coordination, and mechanical installation practices.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with clients, contractors, engineers, and trade partners.
  • Proficiency with construction and project management tools such as: Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, Procore, Bluebeam, BIM coordination tools or similar platforms.
  • Experience with construction drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and system turnover processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
