OverviewThe Corporate Payroll & HRIS Specialist is responsible for supporting payroll operations and HRIS administration across multiple facilities. This position ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, maintains employee data integrity, supports UKG Pro and UKG Workforce Management (WFM) systems, and provides reporting, troubleshooting, and customer service to managers and employees. The role serves as a key resource for payroll compliance, system administration, and workforce data management.

Responsibilities

  • Must follow HCF Policies and Procedures
  • Must meet job-related competencies.
  • Participate in onsite and remote meetings at the Care Community and at the Home Office as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Payroll Administration:
  • Process and audit payroll for assigned facilities and employee groups.
  • Review payroll data for accuracy and compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee pay inquiries.
  • Process wage garnishments, tax levies, and other payroll deductions.
  • Review and validate employee timecards and attendance data.
  • Audit payroll changes including rate adjustments, retroactive pay, bonuses, and other compensation-related transactions.
  • Assist with payroll balancing, quarter-end, and year-end activities.

HRIS Administration:
  • Support maintenance of employee records within UKG Pro and UKG Workforce Management.
  • Process employee data changes including hires, transfers, promotions, status changes, and terminations.
  • Support HRIS workflows and approval processes.
  • Assist with system testing, upgrades, and implementation projects.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve concerns.
  • Support integration monitoring and data validation activities.
  • Assist with configuration and maintenance of HRIS and workforce management modules.

Reporting and Analytics:
  • Generate standard and ad hoc payroll and workforce reports.
  • Perform payroll and HR data audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Assist with compliance reporting requirements.
  • Analyze payroll and workforce metrics and identify trends or discrepancies.
  • Support leadership requests for payroll, labor, and workforce data.

Customer Support:
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee and manager payroll questions.
  • Provide guidance on payroll processes, timekeeping, and system functionality.
  • Support training efforts related to payroll and HRIS procedures.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and job aids.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Three or more years of payroll administration experience, including experience with HRIS and workforce management systems.
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and wage-and-hour laws, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, deliver exceptional customer service, communicate effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
