In this exciting and rewarding position, you will provide exceptional nursing care for Perinatal (Labor & Delivery/Postpartum) patients. You will offer guidance to team members by supervising nursing interventions and assigning related tasks. You will also assess patient, family and staff learning needs, deliver appropriate clinical education and promote effective working relationships. This involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals to develop and implement a care plan, including providing detailed care instructions.
This position floats to various units within the UCLA Health system based on the patient census and the skills of the RN/staff. Hospital locations include but are not limited to the following:
  • UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital
    • Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center
    • UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center

Salary range: $116.66-$116.66 Hourly

We're seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:
  • Current California RN, required
  • BSN or MSN degree, required
  • 3 years of Perinatal RN experience or 2 years of UCLA Health Perinatal experience (including labor, delivery, and postpartum) required
  • Travel or extensive Perinatal RN experience in an acute hospital setting, preferred
  • BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, required
  • NRP certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Heart Association, required
  • NCC Certification, preferred
  • Skills in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis
  • Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral patient assessments
  • Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with others, providing compassionate and cutting-edge patient care while also contributing to the positive and collaborative team environment at UCLA Health is a must
  • Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire

As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
