Job description

OPS Security Group is seeking professional and customer-service-focused Enhanced Security Officers for a people-facing security role. This position requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to handle high-interaction environments while maintaining safety and security standards and deescalation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor property and report suspicious activity
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports
  • De-escalate conflicts and maintain a professional presence
  • Perform additional security duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Valid Pennsylvania Act 235 certification required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of customer service experience
  • 3 years of security, military or law enforcement experience is required.
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills
  • Basic computer knowledge (email, reports, Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and OPS training requirements

Preferred Experience

Candidates should meet at least one of the following:

  • 3 years of armed security experience
  • Military experience
  • Law Enforcement Experience
  • State or federally certified law enforcement academy training

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to wear a security uniform
  • Ability to pass Physical Agility Test (PAT):
    • 100-meter run in 66 seconds or less
    • 30 push-ups
    • 26 sit-ups

Additional Information

  • CPR/AED/First Aid/BLS training preferred or ability to obtain
  • Must maintain a clean and professional appearance
  • Candidates cannot have previously worked at the Hope Center
