Full Job Description:
THIS IS FOR ENLISTMENT IN THE US NAVY.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract.
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
REQUIRED:
  • Green card holder or U.S. Citizen.
  • Basic English is required.
  • 17-41 years old.
  • High School or GED Diploma is preferred, but not required. 

Position Overview:
Construction Electricians (CE) install and repair interior/exterior wiring and overhead and underground primary and secondary distribution systems using conduit, raceways, and direct burial cables; set up, operate, and service power generation electrical equipment; climb poles and towers utilizing lineman equipment; install and service electrical equipment; maintain individual combat readiness, and perform tasks required in contingency operations and disaster preparedness or Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Recovery (HADR) operations.

There are 19 credentials closely related to the tasks performed in this Rating that may be attainable as soon as Class "A" technical school has been completed. Sailors can take advantage of these credentialing opportunities shortly following their initial training.
