The CVOR CST TIER II is a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is in at Union Health. The operating room staff serve as an essential role in our healthcare system. As a member, you'll assist surgeons during procedures, prepare the surgical environment, and prioritize patient safety to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives. CVOR Certified Surgical Tech II Details

Essential Job Duties:

  • Scrub in all Thoracic/vascular procedures independently and pass instruments.

  • Competent in COVOR equipment, instruments, and supplies.

  • Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.

  • Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments and equipment.

  • Assist the surgical team during procedures.

  • Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and nurses.

  • Maintain aseptic conditions and infection control protocols.

  • Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.

  • Handle specimens and facilitate their transfer to the laboratory.

  • Clean and restock the operating room after each surgery.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and successful surgical outcomes.

License/Certification:

  • Must have graduated from an accredited surgical technology program

  • Must have active CST certification

  • Must have active BLS certification

  • Must be eligible to sit for the certification and as a new graduate has 6 months to complete.
