Position Summary:

This position is responsible for moving product by pushing and pulling supplies and product to packing lines on racks, tow motors, and/or carts.

Responsibilities:

  • Know and understand all labeling, dating, film, bags, and carton needs for all products.

  • Move up to 1,000-pound racks manually or with forklift, powerlift, and/or hand jack.

  • Supply packaging lines with supplies and meat.

  • Load and unload product chilling units and holding rooms.

  • Set up and tear down machines.

  • Keep the warehouse clean and orderly.

  • Enter rack information electronically or manually.

  • Use SAP/computer for transactions.

  • Issue materials and enter data into the computer system.

  • Comply with all HACCP related requirements.

  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.

  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.

  • Perform any other work as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.

  • Ability and willingness to obtain tow motor certification.

  • Ability and willingness to scan or input into computer system all product film, boxes, casings, clips, and ingredients for all daily product runs, including change overs.

  • Ability and willingness to follow formulations on the computer and accurately record and report food safety or product information.

Physical Requirements:The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently.

  • Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to l0 hours.

  • Ability and willingness to flex/grip wrist/hands frequently.

  • Ability and willingness to obtain tow motor certification.

  • Ability and willingness wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.

  • Ability and willingness to work in and out of the blast freezer at -6 degrees.

Preferred Skills:

  • Machine Operator experience preferred

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred

  • RF Scanner experience preferred

Qualifications:

  • 3 months of work history with the same employer
