Administrative Office/Clerical Assistant
Location: Uniontown, Ohio
Employment: Full-Time and in-person
Hours of work: 9:00 am-6:00 pm, Monday -Friday; Overtime can be expected during busy periods
We are seeking a motivated Clerical Assistant who is a strong team player to join our organization. Prior insurance experience is not required. This role involves learning daily operations by organizing and managing client communications, becoming familiar with client files, and supporting staff with day-to-day business activities. Responsibilities will increase as the candidate gains an understanding of our processes, with opportunities to work closely with Agents on specialized documents and tasks as assigned by company leadership.
Responsibilities:
• Build & Maintain Strong Relationships
o Answering phones, emailing and distributing documents
o Typing forms, correspondence, memos, and other materials
o Sorting, filing, and maintaining filing systems for efficient recordkeeping and easy retrieval.
o Completing assignments and projects according to instructions from supervisors.
o Develop trusted partnerships with clients, underwriters, and producers
• Support Producers & Drive Growth
o Provide technical expertise to assist Producers with new business opportunities
o Participate in servicing renewal accounts and exploring coverage enhancements
o Review existing policies to identify upgrade or rounding opportunities
• Deliver Exceptional Account Service
o Policy Maintenance, checking accuracy of policies, binders and Endorsements
o Conduct regular service calls and respond to client inquiries
• Ensure Accuracy & Compliance
o Maintain accurate, real-time updated client files in agency management system to prevent E&O exposure
• Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications We're Seeking
• High School diploma or GED
• Pilot or ACFT Mechanic preferred. but not required.
• Active P&C License preferred. but not required
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies
• Basic typing, spelling, and grammar skills, with attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed
• Comfortable learning new systems, procedures, and the basics of insurance and operations
• Able to use stairs frequently and lift up to 30 lbs as needed
• Interest in continued learning and professional growth
